Family Thyssen
How many stories can a picture contain? Can we replace the characters in a story with those in a painting? What about the settings or the objects? Does the plot change significantly? In this activity, conducted in English, participants become better acquainted with English-speaking culture by exploring selected children’s literary classics. Through games and participatory dynamics, we associate illustrations and texts with works in the museum.
Important! Wear comfortable clothing to make the most of the experience. We will only see a few works, but we’ll examine them in depth, and you can always come back later to see many more.
Family Thyssen is one of several educational initiatives launched by the museum to help visitors discover the art world in a different way.
Please note: Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. This is not an English learning activity, but a chance to practise a foreign language in connection with artistic expression.
